The next LENOWISCO Board of Directors Meeting will be held on
April 5, 2021 at 5:30 p.m.



On behalf of our district localities, LENOWISCO is presently updating its regional hazard mitigation plan. The draft plan is available for public review HERE.
 
Residents and the business community are invited to review and provide feedback. A virtual Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Review meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2021, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM (EST).

LENOWISCO is now taking applications for Round Five of the LENOWISCO Regional Small Business Recovery Assistance Grant Program.

Established in 1969, the LENOWISCO Planning District Commission is authorized under the Virginia Regional Cooperation Act to serve as one of the twenty-one planning district commissions in the Commonwealth of Virginia. LENOWISCO serves the Counties of Lee, Scott, Wise and the City of Norton.

The Commission is recognized by the Appalachian Regional Commission as an ARC Local Development District and by the Economic Development Administration as an Economic Development District. LENOWISCO has been heavily involved in local infrastructure planning and development.  Emphasis has been placed on Community Development, Economic Development, Transportation and Public Utility Infrastructure. We pride ourselves on adjusting to the changing needs of our region.

Presently, LENOWISCO also provides grant writing and grant management services utilizing several community development programs.  Emphasis is also being placed on both traditional economic development and new sector economic development.

LENOWISCO also provides Geographic Information Services (GIS) to assist our member localities and the local community.
